Standard Config Meanings

When a charge point connects to our system, they provide a list of configuration values that can be remotely configured. This article will go through the most common configuration values and their meanings.

To access the configuration values of a charger:

  • Navigate to Network Overview
  • Click the eye icon of a charger you would like to view
  • Navigate to the Config tab

Our platform provides suggested values for several standard configuration settings which are common across most OCPP charge points. These are indicated by specific colors for easy identification:

  • Green - Indicates a suitable value
  • Yellow - Represents an unknown value; we cannot provide guidance on these settings
  • Red - Signifies an unexpected value, which may be incorrect

The standard configuration options that our platform provides suggestions on are:

  • UnlockConnectorOnEVSideDisconnect - When the vehicle is disconnected, automatically release the cable from the charge point
  • StopTransactionOnInvalidID - Stop a transaction if the ID sent is invalid and therefore not authorised to charge
  • StopTransactionOnEVSideDisconnect - When the vehicle is disconnected, automatically end the session
  • Metervaluesampleinterval - The interval at which the charge point submits meter readings.
  • Allowpluggedcable - Allow a cable to be plugged in without an active session
  • AllowOfflineTxForUnknownId - Allow offline transactions for IDs that are unknown by the charger
