How to Onboard: ABB Terra Unit

This article will talk you through how to connect an ABB Terra unit to the Clenergy EV back office.

 

Please note: It is imperative that you register for an installer account with ABB and have uploaded the security certificate (obtained by request from Clenergy EV) to your profile before attempting the commissioning process.

  1. Once registered, navigate to http://abb.installer.chargedot.com, agree to the privacy policy and login with your credentials. Create installer credentials for the site engineers in order to access the Terra Config app and upload the security certificate before proceeding.
  2. Once logged in, use the Web Account and App Account links in the side menu to register and provide your installers with the relevant login credentials to access the Terra Config web portal/ app used to manage and commission the chargepoints.
  3. Select OCPP Server Configuration from the side menu.
  4. Select Certificate Management from the side menu.
  5. Select Add a New Certificate. This will allow you to upload the Amazon Root Certificate as supplied by Clenergy EV (upon request). Once uploaded, this will be displayed in the list of certificates on the Certificate Management screen.
  6. Find the TerraConfig App
  7. Log in with your TerraConfig account
  8. Connect to the charger
  9. Check connectivity options
  10. Please Note: Only one network connection type can be used at any one time so please proceed using the network configuration relevant to the installation.

    For 4G connection:

    In the “APN” field, please enter the following: eapn1.net

    In the “Username” field, enter the following: Clenergy

    In the “Password” field, enter the following: Clenergy


    For WiFi connection:
  11. Update the device
  12. Configure the OCPP settings.

    *In the “Server Info” box; please enter the following url: https://clenergy.online:8081.

    This URL may also be available to select from the drop-down menu depending on the charger firmware.

  13. Check device information to confirm the internet connection
