How to Onboard: CITA Smart 7

This article will talk you through how to connect a CITA Smart 7 charger to the Clenergy EV back office.

  1. Before powering up the charger, photograph or take note of the 4 digit admin password located on the back of the charge point’s cover.
  2. Power up the charger and wait for the LED flash green intermittently. At this point the charger's WIFI hotspot should become available.
  3. Select the WIFI hotspot on your device (identified as matching the charge point serial number); using the password admin123 to join.
  4. Navigate to the CITA charger portal by entering 192.168.4.1 into the navigation bar of the web browser on your device.
  5. Enter the password as displayed on the rear of the charge point’s front cover.
  6. On the main menu, select Charge Point Setup.
  7. Select the correct network using the relevant menus and join using the appropriate credentials.

Please note: If using a Clenergy EV-supplied SIM card for the network connection please refer to the details below and enter the relevant credentials into the appropriate field:

Conexa SIM APN: eapn1.net

KPN SIM APN: wlapn.com

Password/Username (for both suppliers): clenergy

In the event a 3rd party SIM card is being used, please refer to the supplier or manufacturer for the correct details.


4G/SIM and Ethernet network capabilities are additional features and may not be available unless specified.

Enter wss://clenergy.online:8081 into the OCPP field then select Confirm to apply the configurations and reboot the charge point.
Please note: the charge point’s serial number will automatically be added to the OCPP URL.
